ACEARD is concerned with the increasing threats and suffering of local communities caused by climate change. We have therefore directed our focus towards addressing the effects of climate change and environmental degradation in Africa. We work directly with the local communities, policy makers and young people to develop projects, share good practices and ideas toward climate change solution, environmental protection and disaster risk reduction.

We focus on climate education, public participation and access to information on climate actions. we strongly advocate for climate actions that protect our environment. Strong promoter of green jobs and support for climate change adaptation programmes in vulnerable communities.

To achieve this, we host campaigns, workshops/ seminars, community and media outreach on how best to reduce carbon footprint. We also initiate projects that improve local communities’ capacity to adapt to climate change and prevent or manage climate related disasters.
